Kagemaru Himeno's Art

While looking through pictures of old Sugimori art to compile for another shrine-esque page, I stumbled upon the works of Kagemaru Himeno, and I was immediately blown away by how charming and adorable her art and style was.

The first images I saw were a set of cute Pikachu calendar illustrations (compiled by HiResPokemon and Linkdu83), but I didn't realise that her body of work also encompasses a lot of classic and iconic Pokémon TCG illustrations. Many that I've enjoyed and had in my small, ancient Pokémon card collection for years and years!

I considered putting her work and Sugimori's work together in a combined "Classic Pokémon illustrations" shrine page, but the more I browsed her work, the more I knew it definitely needed its own place to shine and be appreciated. So, here we are!

This is a compilation of some of my favourite Kagemaru Himeno card illustrations, with a focus on her classic-style work. Some later-gen cards are included, too, if I think they're super cute! Some illustrations include both the holo and non-holo variants, if I feel that both variants are aesthetically nice and different enough.
